OpenWalls Arles photo competition entry
I just entered OpenWalls Arles photography competition Home and Away with a photograph - In Wales two Canadians and an American fight to end transplant abuse in China.
I chose this photo as it’s always stuck in my mind as a pivotal moment of unity between these three men. Relentlessly, they travel the world to help stop organ harvesting in China who have their organs removed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Sold for vast amounts of money on a massive scale. Currently, the most harvested organs come from Falun Gong in China.
“One thing that Wales can do is say to its own transplant professionals: No contact with Chinese transplant professionals. Say to Chinese transplant professionals: No access to Welsh transplant professionals until there is acknowledgement, not just accountability in the future, but accountability of the past.” – David Matas

The photo went out originally in colour. I’ve been going through my photo archives and picking my favorite portraits and making black and white versions using the DxO filters i’ve recently purchased. Within the filter set the Silver EFX Pro 2 filter is great as they can be used to mimic old film stocks. I particularly like the grain on the AGFA APX 400.
